Designed as an essential component for reactive power management, the CJ19C Capacitor Bank Contactor serves as a specialized device for making and breaking low-voltage shunt capacitor banks. Its primary application lies within automatic compensation equipment used for reactive power correction. This robust product is suitable for 50Hz alternating current systems with rated operational voltages up to 380V, capable of switching capacitive loads as high as 90kvar to achieve optimal power factor improvement. The contactor employs a practical modular construction. A distinctive feature is the placement of its three-path resistor circuit assembly directly above the main circuit block. The main contacts are engineered with a rational design for reliable individual load switching. To operate correctly and safely, the Capacitor Bank Contactor must be installed and used within the following environmental and mounting parameters: a) Ambient air temperature: permissible range is from -5°C to +40°C, provided the daily (24h) average does not exceed +35°C. b) Altitude: the installation elevation should not be greater than 2000 meters. c) Humidity: the relative humidity of the air at the site must not surpass 50% when measured at +40°C. The wettest month of the year should have an average minimum temperature no higher than +25°C, and that same month's average maximum relative humidity must remain below 90%. d) The operational environment is classified as pollution degree 3. e) Its installation category is III. f) It requires a stable location devoid of significant shaking, shock, or vibration. g) Mounting must ensure the contactor's installation surface is tilted no more than 5° relative to the vertical plane.
The operational mechanism of this product is key to its performance, as shown in Figure 1. The schematic diagram above the dotted line illustrates the capacitor switching circuit, with the parallel capacitor bank depicted below. The integrated resistor switching circuit-featuring series resistors with early-make contacts-is the first to engage upon coil energization. This allows the initial charging current to be limited by the resistors, thereby suppressing the potentially damaging inrush current. Once this is achieved, the main contacts close to carry the normal capacitive load. An intelligent protective feature of the Capacitor Bank Contactor is that its resistor circuit automatically disconnects and resets after completing the inrush suppression duty. This design drastically lowers the probability of resistor failure during capacitor disconnection events, making it a reliable and cost-effective choice for maintaining efficient and stable electrical network performance.

Internal Connections and Terminal Markings
The circuit connections and terminal markings for the CJ19C type are shown in Figure 2.
The CJ19C-80 type contactor has three auxiliary contacts, available in two combinations. Auxiliary contact combinations are shown in Table 1. Auxiliary modules can be installed on both sides of the contactor to increase the number of auxiliary contacts.

Two types of auxiliary modules are available:
LA8-DN11 (one normally open and one normally closed)
LA8-DN20 (two normally open); selected by the user when ordering.
