These products are designed for use in AC circuits with a frequency of 50Hz and a rated operational voltage up to 660V, capable of switching rated operational currents as high as 95A (for 3-phase systems ≤440V). They fulfill the essential function of remotely connecting and disconnecting circuits, a critical task in power system management. Furthermore, these Power System Contactors are well-adapted for the frequent control of AC motors commonly found in industrial power systems. Under utilization category AC-4 with a suitably reduced current, they can also be employed for challenging duties like the plugging and reversing of squirrel-cage motors. To ensure comprehensive protection within the power system, these products can be effectively combined with thermal overload relays. The operational stability of a Power System Contactor depends on adherence to its specified environmental limits: a) Ambient air temperature must be between ≥-5°C and +40°C, with a daily average not above +35°C. b) The installation altitude should not exceed 2000m. c) At +40°C, relative humidity must be ≤50%. The wettest month's average minimum temperature is ≤+25°C, and its average maximum relative humidity is ≤90%. d) It is designed for pollution degree 3 environments. e) Installation category is III. f) It must be mounted in a location absent of significant shaking, impact, or vibration. g) The mounting surface should be within 5° of vertical.
