We engineered our highly reliable Single-Phase Shunt Capacitor to provide localized, point-of-use reactive power compensation directly at the single-phase load terminals. During a municipal rural electrification upgrade we supplied, the installation of our Single-Phase Shunt Capacitor units successfully restored the sagging terminal voltage from 195V back to a stable 228V, reducing distribution line losses and improving the motor startup efficiency of localized agricultural machinery.

Q1: Can we use a Single-Phase Shunt Capacitor in a three-phase delta or star connection?

A1: Yes. You can connect three Single-Phase Shunt Capacitor units together to form a three-phase bank (connected either in Delta or Star configuration). This is highly useful when you need to create custom three-phase configurations or require asymmetrical phase compensation in a customized panel.

Q2: What safety protection does this capacitor have against internal pressure buildup?

A2: Our capacitors feature an internal overpressure disconnector. If an internal fault causes gas generation, the internal pressure will expand the top cover slightly upward. This expansion safely tears the internal connecting wires at a pre-calibrated weak point, disconnecting the capacitor from the grid before casing rupture can occur.
