The CJ19C Capacitor Switching Contactor represents a purpose-built solution for the safe and efficient switching of low-voltage shunt capacitors. As a dedicated component, it is widely employed in automatic compensation-based reactive power compensation setups. This product is engineered for AC systems with a frequency of 50Hz and a rated working voltage up to 380V, proficiently making and breaking capacitive loads up to 90kvar to enhance overall power factor. Its design philosophy centers on a modular "building-block" approach. Notably, the resistor circuit, configured in three paths, is situated above the main power circuit section. The main contacts are intelligently designed for reliable, solo load operation. For guaranteed performance, the Capacitor Switching Contactor must be applied under these specified conditions: a) The surrounding air temperature should be between -5°C and +40°C, with the 24-hour average temperature not exceeding +35°C. b) The installation site's altitude is limited to 2000m above sea level. c) Air relative humidity at the installation point should not exceed 50% when the temperature is +40°C. Additionally, the average minimum temperature of the wettest month is ≤+25°C, and that month's average maximum relative humidity is ≤90%. d) A pollution degree of 3 is applicable. e) It falls under installation category III. f) The installation location must be free from pronounced shaking, impact, or vibration. g)
The contactor should be mounted such that its surface does not incline more than 5° from vertical. The core functionality of this product is illustrated in Figure 1. The diagram above the dashed line details the capacitor switching circuitry, while the section below shows the parallel capacitor bank. The resistor switching circuit, comprising early-make contacts in series with resistors, activates first when the electromagnetic coil is powered. Current initially charges the capacitors through these resistors, effectively restraining the switch-on surge current. Subsequently, the main contacts close to carry the full capacitor current. This intelligent sequence ensures smooth engagement. Furthermore, once the inrush suppression task is complete, the resistor circuit within the Capacitor Switching Contactor automatically disengages from the main circuit and resets. This action substantially reduces the opportunity for resistors to overheat or burn out during the capacitor cutoff process, offering superior protection and extended service life for critical compensation system assets.

Internal Connections and Terminal Markings
See Figure 2 for the circuit connections and terminal markings of the CJ19C type.
The resistor of the CJ19C-63 contactor is connected to a dedicated terminal on the main wiring terminal,to avoid interference from external wiring during main wiring terminal operation.
The CJ19C-63 contactor has three auxiliary contacts, with two combinations; auxiliary contact combinations are shown in Table 1. Auxiliary modules can be installed on both sides of the contactor to increase the number of auxiliary contacts.

Two types of auxiliary modules are available:
LA8-DN11 (one normally open and one normally closed)
LA8-DN20 (two normally open); selected by the user when ordering.
