A capacitor contactor generally consists of a fixed plate, a movable plate, an insulating pad, and an operating mechanism. The fixed plate and the movable plate each contain contacts and are fixed or movable with the support of the insulating pad. Under the influence of the operating voltage, the movable plate changes from a stationary state to a moving state, with a controllable small gap between it and the fixed plate.
