Product Description

As global electrical grids transition toward smart automation, the traditional approach of purchasing switchgear and secondary control systems separately frequently leads to compatibility issues, complex onsite wiring, and lengthy commissioning delays. Our factory pioneered the development of the Primary & Secondary Integrated RMU and DTU to solve this problem, pre-assembling, pre-wiring, and pre-commissioning the entire system in our dust-free workshops. By delivering the Primary & Secondary Integrated RMU and DTU as a single, factory-certified smart switchgear solution, we have helped our utility and industrial partners reduce onsite installation and testing times by over 70%, significantly lowering labor costs and engineering risks.

Inside our Primary & Secondary Integrated RMU and DTU, advanced electronic voltage and current sensors are seamlessly paired with our high-performance Distribution Terminal Unit (DTU). This enables real-time tracking of line losses, grid harmonics, and temperature variations, allowing for automated fault location, isolation, and service restoration (FLISR). Built to comply fully with international communication protocols, our integrated switchgear provides a robust, future-proof backbone for smart city distribution grids, wind and solar power plants, and modern automated industrial complexes.

Applications

Smart City Grids: Key distribution nodes requiring automated fault isolation and self-healing grid capabilities.

Industrial Automation Parks: High-reliability power distribution with real-time energy monitoring and power quality analysis.

Renewable Energy Substations: Collecting and monitoring power flow from wind and solar farms before feeding into the transmission grid.

Microgrid Interfaces: Providing intelligent monitoring and rapid switching at the point of common coupling (PCC) between microgrids and the main utility.

Customization & Factory Strength

As a technology-driven manufacturer, we employ a dedicated team of 35 R&D and electrical engineers who specialize in secondary automation and grid software integration. We offer comprehensive customization for the Primary & Secondary Integrated RMU and DTU, including custom DTU configurations (feeder monitoring, backup power supplies, specialized battery management), custom sensor accuracies, and tailored protocol mapping. Every single unit undergoes a strict, 48-hour continuous running and integrated primary-secondary simulation test in our laboratory before shipment.

Packaging & Shipping

Packaging: The entire unit is vacuum-packaged in moisture-proof barrier bags with desiccant packs, secured with shock-absorbing anti-vibration rubber mounts, and housed in heavy-duty plywood crates.

Shipping: Placed on heavy-duty iron-skid bases and secured with high-tensile steel strapping to ensure safe handling by standard forklifts and cranes during global transport.

FAQ

Q1: How does this integrated system improve fault recovery time compared to traditional RMUs?

A1: Traditional RMUs rely on manual operations or basic indicators to find faults, which can take hours. Our Primary & Secondary Integrated RMU and DTU utilizes real-time sensor data and a smart DTU to identify short-circuit or ground faults within milliseconds. It communicates instantly with the distribution control center via IEC 104, allowing for automated remote switching to isolate the faulty line and restore power to unaffected areas within seconds.

Q2: What backup power system does the integrated DTU use during a main power outage?

A2: The integrated DTU is equipped with a high-capacity, maintenance-free battery backup system (typically lead-acid or lithium-iron phosphate) managed by an intelligent charger. In the event of a total grid blackout, the battery provides continuous standby power to the DTU and the motorized switch operating mechanisms for at least 8 to 24 hours, ensuring the switchgear can still be operated remotely to restore the grid.
